Sneak peek
In this sneak peek of the film, it shows how storytelling can become powerful when combining the narrative with raw footage and music that can shake the soul. In this scene of the Rev in Baltimore in the early 90’s you can sense the vibes and the energy from the live presence of the band Juice in this song titled “The Suit” from their self titled release. As the pit rages, Kevin Beebe describes how talented bands in the Baltimore scene simply were not being picked up by any of the record companies. Put your headphones on for this one. Other than the official trailer this will be the only sneak peek of the film before its spring release. ©️2019

Sporatic Sunjam
Beginning in the early years of High School, Paul Deboy, Joe Gallagher, Dennis Barth, and Ryan Bowen formed a cover band known as Feedback. Playing all the parties in and around Baltimore and even some clubs that allowed underage band members to play. Fast forward to college as this former cover band became an original song writing power house with a new name Sporatic Sunjam. The rest as they say is history.
Sun Rider 9 Productions is presenting the complete story from the Sunjam segment from Catonsville: Music City Maryland. The unedited and uncut version as told by the song writers themselves and friends alike.
From 1991 to present day here is a glimpse into the 28 year history that has yet to have an ending as the band still lives on playing sporadically throughout the years.

This outtake from Catonsville: Music City Maryland discusses the power of music and its affects on cultures and society. One of the goals of this film was to bring forward the notion of just how powerfully unifying music is and how it’s kept this group of friends from Catonsville together over the course of a lifetime.
This clip was left out of the film simply because you already get this overwhelming sensation of unity without needing this addition of explaining music’s power.
Features songs from Stone Dust Riders and Society Fringe Players.
Skateboarding
If you lived in Catonsville during the 1980’s skateboarders took over the streets of downtown Frederick Road with kids riding to and from the music and record stores as well as to a number of options for skating ramps including quarter pipes and half pipes.
Parts of Cascade which was a old public bowl was dug up back behind Sorrentos on Route 40 during this time.
In this uncut segment from the film Catonsville: Music City Maryland, Pro Skaters Derek and Cabbage talk about the lifestyle of skateboarding and how this influence ties in with the art and music scene.

Did you know? That in the summer of 1993 while Sunjam was performing at Max’s on Broadway in Fells Point, 2 gentlemen walked into the bar and asked to play a song. They just happened to be Glenn Tilbrook singer and guitarist of the UK band Squeeze and his touring drummer. Since Dennis had played “Pulling Muscles from the Shell” in a prior cover band he joined Glenn and his drummer on stage to play this incredible song. Accompanied by Paul Deboy doing back up vocals, here is the sound board recording of the song from that night digitally remastered. Were you there?
