Sun Rider 9 Productions Presents the 2021 Music City Maryland Festival in Catonsville, Maryland.
In late 2020 during the peak of a brutal global pandemic a small band of rebels known as “The Crew” took on the role of setting up and organizing the very first music festival in the town of Catonsville, Maryland.
Against all odds and after several postponements The Crew successfully set up the 2021 Music City Maryland Festival on Saturday, August 28th in the heart of Catonsville.
The Festival featured 33 bands on four stages and ran from morning til night. One man named Rick of RFBV Films armed solely with a hand-held camera was able to capture clips of each of the bands that performed on the four main stages that day.
Here is that footage…

“I remember playing my last song with Circle 9 as the sun was setting behind the stage and looking up and seeing a blood red moon upon the horizon. Thinking this could only mean one thing. TROUBLE! Sure enough the skies opened up shortly thereafter and the rains fell.
But that wouldn’t stop our party of music no it would not. As the rains receded I looked upon the stage to find a trio of players had begun the musical festivities yet again. Starting with Dave Linantud, Paul Kelley, and Porky as the first lineup of the Society Fringe Players. It was time to wipe off the camera and set back up.
We were fortune enough to capture the entire second lineup of SFP featuring Dave Linantud, Brian Lutz, and Andy Och. Please enjoy this history making set”

Circle 9 reunion at the Music City Maryland Festival. Fasten your seatbelts for this one.
“Every festival has that one moment. That segment in time where everyone looks up at the stage and their minds are melted and absolutely blown away about what just transpired. This festival had several great moments, but none so astonishingly spectacular than Circle 9 guitarist Joe Gallagher’s solo on the song Zero. How powerful was it? You might say powerful enough for the skies to open up shortly thereafter and bring down the heavy rains.”
-JD Barth
“I think Circle 9 conjured it. I think there is something thru the matrix of existence, we tripped something and brought that storm to make it epic for us somehow.
That kind of shit happens to Circle 9 all the time. That was what the band was about just weird shit all the time.”
-Dave Linantud
